Anna McLaughlin Reed, 95, of Coulter, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

She was born May 2, 1922 in Coulter, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Estelle Bigley McLaughlin.  Prior to her retirement, Anna was a secretary for Wilts Office and Sears.  She was a member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, White Oak, Legion of Mary, Elkhart, IN and treasurer and past president of Eagles Elk.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Reed; son-in-law, Doug Roate; brothers, Frank, James, George McLaughlin; sisters, Estelle Shepherd, Marguerite Hutchison and Eileen Robert.  She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Roate; granddaughters, Sheri Brown and her husband Jeff, Shelly Hovel; and three great-grandchildren, Jose Mrozik, Fallon and Alicia Hovel.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA on Thursday from 5-7 p.m.  followed by a blessing service.  Donations may be made to the Bigley Family Cemetery, Coulter, PA.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
