Grace Marie Gesing Ernst, age 77 of McKeesport, formerly of Oil City, died June 16, 2017 at UPMC McKeesport. Born February 11, 1940 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Mary (Savage) Tamblyn. Grace spent her time as a hairdresser in both McKeesport and Oil City, and was a florist at Giant Eagle Kennywood. She was a faithful and long-time member of St. Patrick Church in Christy Park. She is survived by her son, Thomas (Sharon) Riley; grandson, David (Christi); two great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Finnagan; sisters, Mary Lou Savage and Joann (Jim) Phillips; nieces and nephews, Deborah and Jason Kuntz, Michelle (Gregg) Bendel, Amy Jo (Bob) Edkins, and Robert (Stephanie) Phillips; great-nieces and nephews, Shawn Deverse, Cody Shotwell, Hannah Bendel, Olivia Edkins, Gavin Edkins, Zachary Phillips, and Ella Phillips; and Rubi Garcia Choque who Grace lovingly sponsored through the church. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward; and brother, Reginald Tamblyn. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 12 Noon at St. Patrick Church, Christy Park.
