Colleen J. Cearns, 83, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at her home.

She was born, June 23, 1933, a daughter of the late Leroy and Francis Messinger Elliott.  Colleen operated a children's daycare service from her home and was an active member of Calvin Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed flowers, gardening and especially spending time with her family.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother,  Edward; and sister-in-law Donna Rose.  She is survived by her sons, Alan (Debbie), and David Cearns; daughters, Judy (Terry) Claycomb, and Joyce Dean (Eric Belak); grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike), Jeremiah (Tiffany), Nathan (Gayle), Sarah (Marc), Cassandra, Kayla and Corbet; and three great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.  A memorial service will take place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Calvin Presbyterian Church, North Huntingdon.  PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.  Memorials may be made to Calvin Presbyterian Church.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
