Rita (Hirosky) Ranelli died May 28 in her home in Acme, PA.

The daughter of the late Helen Kakas Hirosky and late Stephen Hirosky, she was born in McKeesport, PA on August 11, 1943. Her sister, Irene (Hirosky) Curran, preceded her in death.  

Rita Ranelli was a 1961 graduate of St. Peter’s High School in McKeesport.  She worked as an X-Ray technician and later as a Nuclear Medicine Technician at McKeesport Hospital and taught students in those fields for many years.  She was a former Secretary of the Pennsylvania Association of X-Ray Technologists. 

She married Joseph Ranelli and resided with him in Old Saybrook, CT.  Her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Ilona Ranelli, and granddaughter, Irina Ranelli, both of Acme, PA, and nephew Lawrence Curran of McKeesport and niece Deborah Jugan. Interment was private.
