Waneta Frances Datig, 89, of Greensburg, formerly of Versailles, died Tuesday June 27, 2017. She was born August 10, 1927 in Versailles and was the daughter of the late George and Emma Victoria Osterman Fisher. Waneta was an artist, loved music, dancing and big bands, especially the Glen Miller Band. She is survived by her daughters, Victoria L. (Paul) Runtich of Ardara, Francie (Kurt) Sedlock of Greenock, and Marcia (Peter) Astin of Unity Township, sons, Gilbert L. (Reta) Datig of Norfolk, VA, and Kenneth W. (Brenda) Datig of Glen Burnie, MD, grandchildren, Michelle, Heather, Jason, Warren Jr., Trisha, Tiffany and William, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Florence Baumgartner. Friends are welcome Friday June 30, from 2-4 and 6-8 :00 pm., at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
