Alma Esther Williams, 84, of Suffolk, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Kempsville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born October 10, 1932 in McKeesport, PA, daughter of the late Archie and Blanche Williams; she was also preceded in death by siblings, Dorothy Taulton, Annie McLean, Herbert Williams, and Alexander Williams.

Alma was a long-standing member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, loved to read especially Christian books, and watch Christian programs. She donated, contributed, and gifted to a variety of ministries, missions, and evangelists. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from Central State University and worked as an Income Maintenance Case Work Supervisor for the State of Pennsylvania.

Survivors include sister, Virginia Williams and sister-in-law, Georgette Williams both of Clairton, a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc., 449 Mitchell Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania.  Services will be held Wednesday at Mt. Olive First Baptist Church, 451 Park Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William C. Callaway officiating.

Interment will follow in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
