Lawrence F. "Larry" Miller, 72, of White Oak, died Sunday, September 3, 2017. He was born April 3, 1945 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Francis S. and Martha L. Hollen Miller. Larry was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish and was a US Army Veteran. He was a retired electrician and had worked for US Steel Irvin Works, Lorraine Works and the former Duquesne Works. Larry was a coach at the White Oak Athletic Association for 15 years and was also a former White Oak Councilman. He is survived by his wife, Janet Sue Buchleitner Miller, sons, Matthew L. (Leah) Miller of Indiana and Martin P. Miller of White Oak, sister, Lois Brosky of Greensburg, grandchildren, Michael Barker and Leah Jane Bogdanski, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome Wednesday, September 6 from 6-8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 8:00 pm with his brother-in-law, The Rev. Donald Buchleitner, officiating.
