Robert Stanley Everson, 74 of Las Vegas, NV passed away on September 6, 2017.
Robert was born on May 30, 1943 in Clairton, PA to his parents, Elliott Clarence and Mary Lou Crowe Everson.
Robert attended Waynesburg College in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania where he received his BA in Elementary Education in 1965 and MA in Mathematics at Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan in 1971. Rob also took advanced classes at University of Michigan, University of Detroit, Eastern Michigan University and Wayne State University. He also was a North Carolina Winston Salem State University (W.S.S.U.) Honorary Graduate Alumni. Rob was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Rob was an educator for over 50 years in Detroit Public Schools, Wayne County Public Schools in Goldsboro, North Carolina. In Rob’s spare time he enjoyed traveling, gardening, camping and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elliott and Mary Lou Everson and his brother, Thurmond Everson.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Everson; three daughters, Marla Nelson of Las Vegas, NV, Gaylin Everson of Dallas, TX, Bonduree Hollis (Jesse); one granddaughter Ashlie Hollis; one great granddaughter, Soren Hollis of Cheltenham, MD; brother, Arnold Everson (Lynda) Monroeville, PA; Mrs. Lillian Anderson of Berea, OH, Mrs. Vivian Dorsey of Cleveland, OH, Mrs. Wanda Gross of Alpharetta, GA; Nieces, Carmen, Kim, Carol, Jill, Alexis, Sheila, Richelle, Tracy and Cynthia; Nephews, Vincent, Glenn, Richard, David, Darren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at Mt. Olive First Baptist Church, 451 Park Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania, where a celebration service will begin at 12:00 pm with Rev. Dr. William C. Callaway officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in Robert Everson’s name to Mt. Olive First Baptist Church.

Entombment will follow in the McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery, McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
