Lucy (Rizzo) Filia, age 91, formerly of Wilmerding, after a long struggle with dementia. Wife of the late James; beloved mother of Joseph (Marsha) of Columbus, Ohio, and James F. (Mary Kay) of North Versailles; dear sister of Rosemary (the late Frank) Abate of Delaware, Connie (Jack) Biedinger of Hempfield, William (Lucille) Rizzo of Hawaii, and the late Frank Rizzo; also 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a great grandson.

Although her memories of us have been gone for sometime now, our memories are alive and well. Her unwavering pride in her sons and grandchildren, her great Sunday family dinners and delicious deserts will never be forgotten. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Jude the Apostle Church, Wilmerding. Our family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Via Quest Hospice especially Nurse Anni, Aide Danielle, and Pastor Darryl for the compassionate care of our mother this past few weeks.
