Marian (Snyder) Marcoff, age 79, of Finleyville, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Jefferson Hospital. She retired after 25 years as a tour guide and clerk typist for Round Hill Park in Elizabeth Twp. She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church where she was a former deacon and Sunday School teacher. A 1956 graduate of McKeesport High School, she most recently attended South Hills Bible Chapel. She was known to her family and friends for her wit, compassion, and her love of the Lord.
Born September 23, 1938 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Anthony Wrobleski-Snyder and the late Josephine E. (Martin) Snyder, and wife of 57 years to the late Alex Marcoff. She is survived by daughters, Cynthia (Roger) Marynak of Venetia and Linda Briggs of Finleyville; grandchildren, Jade M. (Lindsey A.) Briggs, Lindsey R. Briggs, Michael Marcoff, and Brooke Marynak; great-grandchildren, Blake and Cooper Briggs, and Alex Marcoff; sister, Sally A. Prailey of Boston; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Michael Alex Marcoff, and daughter, Lisa Jo Marcoff. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 2-7 PM. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Darlene Hall officiating.
