William John Beresford, 77, of Versailles, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at home. He was born April 16, 1938 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Robert and Mary Stefan Beresford. He was a US Army Veteran and was a member of the Elizabeth Township Ex-serviceman's Association and the Versailles Croatian Club. He was also a member of the Carpenters Union. William played for McKeesport in the 3rd season of the Little League Baseball World Series.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Howatineck of Harrison City, sons, Kirk L. Beresford of Wilkinsburg, and Doug W. and Scott B. Beresford of North Versailles, grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylee, Brian, and Kasey Beresford, and great-grandson, Bentley Sepsey. Friends are welcome Sunday, March 13 from 2-6 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 6:00 pm., with Pastor Jody Dausey officiating. Condolences may be made at gilbertfuneralhomeandcrematory.com
