Richard J. Kurta, age 59, of Clairton, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 in H.C.R. Manor Care in Whitehall. Richard was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 19, 1957 to the late Richard P. and Mary (Winand) Kurta.
Richard was known as "Mr. Rick from Pizza Hut in Pleasant Hills”. He was retired from Bettis Atomic Power Lab in West Mifflin and was a member of Bible Baptist Temple in Jefferson Hills. He is survived by his wife Billi Jo (Opfar) Kurta; his daughter, Nicole (Steve) Mongelluzzo of Baldwin; son, Brandon (Gina) Kurta of Clairton; 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Emily and Justin Mongelluzzo; brother, Anthony (Denise) Kurta of Clairton and sister, Rose Marie Boyle of Clairton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol (Sissy) Kurta. Friends will be received at A. J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton on Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10 am in Bible Baptist Temple, 1415 Worthington Avenue, Jefferson Boro. Please meet at the Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Bible Baptist Temple, 1415 Worthington Ave, Jefferson Hills , Pa 15025
