Frank A. Curcio, age 94 of West Mifflin, passed away at home on Thursday, December 7, 2017. Born January 24, 1923 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Basil and Anna (Cortes) Curcio.
A US Army Veteran of the European Theater of World War II, where he earned a Bronze Star, Frank retired as a heater in the soaking pits at US Steel National Tube Works in McKeesport. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Gilda (Lucente) Curcio who passed away on October 22, 2008, and his sisters Eleanor Permigianni and Rose Marie O'Toole. Frank is survived by his son Eugene (Deborah) Curcio of Lake Mary, FL; his grandchildren Brian E. Curcio and Julie M. Bittney; his three great-grandchildren Kylie, Jackson, and Camden Bittner; his brother Basil Curcio of San Diego, CA; his sister Teresa Kozlowski of Elizabeth Twp.; and also nices and nephews. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 9 AM until an 10:30 AM Blessing, in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
