Carl "Fred" Frederick Cole, 70, of Versailles, died Friday, December 15, 2017. He was born April 4, 1947 in Morgantown, WV, and was the son of the late Carl Frederick Cole, Sr, and the late Dolly D. Gamble Cole. Fred was a retired self employed General Contractor. Fred was a member and former Director of the McKeesport Sportsman's Club and was also a member of the NRA. He loved hunting, riding his Harley Davidson, and shooting skeet. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Leslie A. Cook Cole, son, Chad William Cole of Versailles, grandson, Jacob C.W. Cole of Greenock, brothers, J. Scott (Carmella) Cole of Carnegie and Dean Cole of Elizabeth Township, sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Liz" Cole of Finleyville, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Roderick Cole. Friends are welcome Tuesday, December 19 from 2-4 and 7-9:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street. Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 20 at 10:00 am with The Rev. Erin Evans, officiating.
