Eleanor M. Shaw (Leskanic) March 27, 1945 – December 22, 2017

Eleanor Shaw, wife of the late Lou Shaw of White Oak, passed peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2017. Surviving are daughters Lori Fitzgerald (Scott) & Jill Shipley (Christopher) and grandsons Drew, Patrick & Michael. Also surviving are sisters Marianna Merten, Rita Miller, Ethel Stetz & Michaelene Janzef (Edwin), brothers-in-law Joe Shaw (Nicki) of Gates Mills, OH & Lenny Szalkiewicz of Naples, FL and many nieces & nephews. Ellie was a supportive wife, caring mother and loving grandma who dedicated her life to the family she cherished. She was happiest at home simply spending time with those she loved the most. A special thanks to friends Darlene and Bill Potter, Martha Vesonder, Deb Tkach and Dr. Shachi Tyagi for their love and support. In lieu of a viewing, an informal open house celebrating Ellie’s life will be held at the Cobblestone Clubhouse, 175 Cobblestone Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 on Wednesday, December 27 from 1-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Family and friends are encouraged to dress comfortably and come as they are. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Steven M. Palsa on Thursday, December 28 at 10 am at Corpus Christi Parish, 2515 Versailles Ave, McKeesport, PA 15132. Friends and family unable to attend the open house will be received at the church from 9 am to 9:45 am on Thursday. Committal service and inurnment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in West Mifflin, PA. At the request of Eleanor, please do not send flowers. Prayers or mass cards are welcome. Cremation arrangements made by Willig Funeral Home in McKeesport, PA.
