John Brletic, age 89 , of McKeesport, died January 15, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family.
John Brletic, age 89 , of McKeesport, died January 15, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born September 19, 1928, in North Versailles, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Chepuran) Brletic and the husband of the late Carol J. (Barnes) Brletic for over 65 years. John was retired from the McKeesport Fire Department, where he was a fireman protecting and serving the community for over 30 years. He also retired from the McKeesport Area School District, as a bus driver. He was a US Navy veteran, serving during WWII. He was a lifelong member of the Park Baptist Church. John was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed camping. John is survived by his children, David (the late Laurel) of Clairton, Thomas (Nadine) of White Oak, Richard (Carole) of Pleasant Hills, Gary (Becki) of White Oak, Joanne Delo of McKeesport, Robert of McKeesport and Susie (Rick) Russo of White Oak; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; sister Louise Weimer of Cincinnati, OH; sister-in-law, Doris Morris of McKeesport; also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, John was preceded in death by his siblings, Steve, Joseph, Mary Salopek and Anna DiLullo; grandson, John Coup. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, January 17, from 2 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at Park Baptist Church. Pastor Rudy Mayak will officiate. Burial will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Park Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 749 Center St., McKeesport, PA 15132.
