David Scott Hilpert, age 56, of McKeesport, died January 15, 2018, at home. Born November 21, 1961, he was the son of the late Edward F. Hilpert and Janet Marie (Callahan) (Bernard) Michaels.

David had many hobbies that he enjoyed.  His favorites were fishing and listening to all kinds of music. He loved AC/DC and The Beatles. David had a real knack for playing guitar and would enjoy jam sessions with family and friends.
David is survived by his daughter Jamie (Nelson) Overholt of Wellman, Iowa; grandson, Caleb Westen of Wellman, Iowa; Siblings, Vickie (Robert) Babyak of Dravosburg, Diane M. Hilpert of McKeesport, Barry J.  (Michelle) Michaels of McKeesport, Blaine Michaels of Somerset County; many nieces and nephews; and his fish named Oscar. David was preceded in death by his brother Brian Michaels.
