Mary Jane (McGill) Kuklish, 90, of Hudson, FL, formerly of North Huntingdon passed away on Monday, March 14 in St. Petersburg, FL. Born November 25,1925 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Olivia McGill. Mary Jane enjoyed a long teaching career in the Norwin School District. She was a devout Catholic and spent much of her free time reading, swimming, sewing, and working crossword puzzles.
Her loving husband, John, preceded her in death in 1998. Mary Jane is survived by her brother Ken McGill of Littleton, CO. She will be missed by her six children: John (Matilda) of Fairfax Station, VA, Jane of Palmyra, PA, Joan (Jerry) of Saint Johns, FL, Jim (Becki) of Moon Twp, PA, Jeanie Emmert (Dan) of Mount Joy, PA, and Joe (Angela) of Gulfport, FL. Mary Jane loved her eleven grandchildren. She was also fortunate to have ten great grandchildren. A Panachida Service will be held Monday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m. at James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. There will be a brief Parastas Service at 8:45 a.m at the funeral home on Tuesday followed by Mass at Saint Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Herminie. Interment will follow at West Newton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Alzheimers Foundation.
