John V. Scozio, age 69, of North Huntington, died Friday, February 2nd, 2018. He was born December 17, 1948, the son of the late John and Viola Scozio.

 He is survived by his loving wife, Robyn, and was the devoted father of his four children, John, Tanya, Talia and Santino. Also surviving are John’s beloved brother and sisters, Mark Scozio (Tracy), Kathy McGinty (Terry), Sandy Popojas (Andy) and Shari Wojtowicz (Ray), along with his many adoring nieces and nephews.

John was Catholic by faith, and very spiritual. A world class martial artist, and the highly-regarded owner and operator of regional grocery chains, his passion for his boxer dogs, blues music, and vintage cars was well known by all who loved him. He was also a committed member of Masonic Lodge No. 375.

A private service has been held, and there will be no public viewing. In honor of his mother, and in lieu of flowers, John asks that any donations be sent to the Magee Women’s Research Institute (mageewomens.org) in furtherance of breast cancer research.
