Gladys Lorenchick, age 94, of Versailles Borough, PA, died February 23, 2018, at home with her family by her side.

Gladys Lorenchick, age 94, of Versailles Borough, PA, died February 23, 2018, at home with her family by her side. Born January 12, 1924, in Dalton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Cassie (Johnson) Shelton and the wife of the late George Lorenchick for over 60 years. Gladys dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a member of the former Immanuel United Presbyterian Church, in McKeesport. Gladys was an avid baker, she made all the family cakes, including wedding cakes. She will always be remembered as a pillar of society. Gladys is survived by her children, George A. (Darlene) Lorenchick of Trafford, PA and DeEtta (Donald) Brown of Versailles, PA; grandchildren, Brian, Mark, Hailey and Sherri; great grandchildren, Caela and Jacob ; also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Gladys, was preceded in death by her grandson, Douglas. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, February 26, 2018, from 2 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. Fr. Matthew Elanjileth will officiate. Burial will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
