Rose Marie Grdich, 91, of Christy Park, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. She was born April 24, 1926 in Uniontown and was the daughter of the late John and Rose Coltus Kovach. She was the wife of the late Frank Grdich who died June 19, 1990. She was a member of the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McKeesport and retired from McKeesport Area School District. She is survived by her son, Frank Joseph Grdich of Christy Park, sisters, Dorothy (Sam) Kirk of McKeesport, Elizabeth Allsworth of Versaillles, Mary Czura of Dravosburg, Josephine Voytek of Uniontown, Martha Gadish of Allison, Patricia Samol, Stella Carpenter, and Helen Fialko of Cleveland, OH, granddaughter, Jennifer (Brian) Case of Elizabeth Township, great-grandchildren, Justin Sturkie and Jonathan Mayersky, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Grdich, daughter, Rose Argyle, sister, Anne Gall, and brothers, Albert, David, John and Alec Kovach. Friends are welcome Saturday, March 10 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday March 10 at 12:30 pm with The Rev. Jody Dausey, officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Vue.
