Mary R. Mizgorski, 92, a life long resident of Bloomfield, died Monday, March 12, 2018. She was born July 10, 1925 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Vicenzo and Antoinette (Scapes) Trapani. She was the wife of the late A. William Mizgorski. Mary worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Workman's Compensation Division and had previously worked for Ayob's Produce Yards in the Strip District. She was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joanne E. Mizgorski of Shadyside, brother, Dominic (Pat) Trapani of Verona, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, James A. Mizgorski who died October 27, 2009, brother, Joseph Trapani, sisters, Jennie Zenuh and Josie Trapani and special friend, Carlo Batista. Friends are welcome Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 12-2 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at 412-471-0935.
