Ruth L. Jones, 95, of Irwin, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018.  She was born June 1 ,1922 in Hempfield Township, daughter of the late Harry and Sara Rumbaugh Long.

 Prior to her retirement, Ruth was a house parent for the Juvenile Detention Center.  She was a member of Brush Creek Lutheran Church and former member of the Senior Citizens Card Club.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlen E. Jones; son, Gary Jones; and brother, John Long.  She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Saenz and her husband, Guillermo; brother, Ray Long; three grandchildren, Dan (Anastasia) Jones, Caron (Matthew) Leone, William Saenz; and 11 great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA on Friday from 3-7 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be private in Brush Creek Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brush Creek Church.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
