Marlene Fay Claar, age 79 of McKeesport, passed away at home on Saturday March 24, 2018.  Born June 11, 1938 in Palmer, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Fay (Teufel) Olsavsky  A former real estate agent with Matthew Cracolice Agency in White Oak, Marlene also operated her own day care.  She loved her cats and loved children, especially babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Most importantly, she raised her family mostly by herself, and not always under the best of luck, but was still able to provide a strong and loving household for her family.  And, proudly, she was the main party in the seminal, modern "Lemon Law" case in American jurisprudence.  Marlene is survived by her children Debbie Griffith of West Mifflin and William and David Dellapenna, both of McKeesport; her grandchildren Chastity (Ed) Gavalek, Kaila Fay Dellapenna, Evan Oaster Dellapenna, and Karly Dellapenna; her great-grandchildren Dakota Hobby and Tristan Naulder; her sister Della "Chi" (Richard) Test of Port Vue; her daughter-in-law Tara Dellapenna; and also nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Raymond Dellapenna and her husbands William Dellapenna and George Claar.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut St., Versailles Boro, McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-3454) on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 12 Noon in the funeral home, officiant to be announced.  Procession and burial will follow to Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.  www.bekavacfuneralhome.com
