Mary Lou McMarlin, age 67, of Coraopolis, died April 15, 2018, at UPMC McKeesport.

Born December 12, 1950, in Sewickley Valley Hospital,  she was the daughter of the late Edward and Claire (Lang) Shott and the wife of the late Edward R. McMarlin.

Mary Lou worked in the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation in Pittsburgh in her early years, then after raising her children, she returned to work at OVR.  She was a former member of Sampsons Mills Church, where she was active in the choir. Mary Lou loved to sing, read, garden, crochet and cross stitch.  She is survived by daughters, Kelly (Charles) Ryan of White Oak and Diana McMarlin of North Versailles; grandchildren, Sean Ryan and Michael Ogden; brothers, Lawrence and Charles Shott; also many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Edward Shott.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, April 18th, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday April 19th, 10 a.m., in Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home Chapel.  Pastor Jessica McClure Archer will be officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
