Jay Anson Miller, 85, of Elizabeth Township, died Monday, April 30, 2018. He was born August 13, 1932 in Lash and was the son of the late Nelson and Marion (Peoples) Miller. Jay was a member of the Greenock United Methodist Church.  He was part owner of the Madison Club Golf Course and the former Sutersville Lumber Co, and was a Director at Herminie Bank for 42 years. Jay was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. For his service he received the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, National Service Medal, United Service Medal and the ROK Presidential Unit Citation. He is survived by his wife, Marcella (Soubeyrand) Miller, 4 sons, 2 daughters, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a sister.

He was preceded in death by a son. Friends are welcome Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, May 4 at 10:00 am with the Rev. Edwin Pope, officiating. Entombment with Military Honors will follow in the Mount Vernon Cemetery Mausoleum in Elizabeth Township.
