Arnold V. Plum, 90, of Elizabeth Township, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018. He was born February 16, 1928 in Versailles and was the son of the late Nicholas and Esther (Johnson) Plum. A life long resident of the McKeesport area, Arnold graduated from McKeesport High School and Muskingum College and then earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Prior to attending college, Arnold served as a Corporal in the US Army at the end of WWII. He later practiced law for 59 years, the last 30 of those years proudly with his daughter, Linda C. Plum. Arnold was a career member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations, and was inducted as a Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation. He served as chair of the Municipal and School Solicitors and Public Relations Committee, as well as a member of the Probate and Trust Law Section, Lawyers Insurance Committee and Arbitrator Fee Dispute Committee, all of the Allegheny County Bar Association.Arnold also served as past solicitor to the Township of Elizabeth, Borough of Versailles, Borough of White Oak and Dravosburg Sanitary Authority, as well as a past member and Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Youghiogheny Country Club. Currently, Arnold was a member and past president of the Board of Directors of the McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery. Arnold was proud to have been a dedicated member of what he felt was the greatest profession, the practice of law. Arnold also was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved the game of golf, having played for 50 years at the Youghiogheny Country Club. Arnold was hard working, honest, dedicated and a great story teller. Arnold will be missed by all who had the fortune of knowing him. He is survived by his wife, of 59 years, Lynne Catherine (Kocmond) Plum, sons, David A. Plum of Shaler and Richard J. Plum of Versailles, daughter, Linda C . Plum of Elizabeth Township, granddaughters, Jamie L. Belding and Julie A. Belding, a niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, David L. Plum. Friends are welcome Saturday, June 9, from 10-11 am at the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church. Service will begin there at 11 am with The Rev. William K. Little, officiating. Private burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township . In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jamie's Dream Team at 4617 Walnut Street, McKeesport PA 15132 or Elizabeth Forward Swim Club - Michelle Monte Memorial Scholarship Fund at P.O.
