Beatrice June Bassler, age 92 of North Huntingdon died June 23, 2018 at Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon. She was born July 4, 1925 in Beatrice, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Orville and Pearl Stephens Alexander.

 Prior to her retirement, Beatrice was employed as a registered nurse by Jeannette and Monsour Hospital. She was a member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church and founded the Nursing Program for Rescue 8. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Alexander, two sisters, Mary Bloodgood and Berta Avery. She is survived by her beloved husband Elmer Bassler, two sons, Douglas (wife Melissa), Steve (wife Lynne), daughter Theresa Kellman, former daughter-in-law, Laurie Bassler, 6 grandchildren, Katie (Jason), Kyle, Arwen, Brendon, Shannon and Austin, 2 great- grandchildren, Nathaniel and Maven. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26 at Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon. James W.
