Melvin S. Hoak, Jr., 65, of Butler, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018.  He was born February 5, 1953 in Natrona Heights to the late Melvin S. Hoak, Sr. and Virginia Regan Hoak.  Melvin worked as a lab technician at AK Steel and was a US Air force Veteran.  He loved to hunt and go to Iowa with his buddies, Ron and Ralph. Melvin loved his family, his little red Corvette and especially his granddaughter, Haley. He is survived by Cindy Sue (Parker) Hoak of Butler, son, Damon (Heather) Hoak of Butler, special granddaughter, Haley Hoak, as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin Street, Butler, on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following visitation at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Harry R. Bielewicz, officiating.  Inurnment will follow mass at St. Michael Cemetery, Butler.
