Richard R. Ragan, Sr., age 86, of West Mifflin, died July 14th, 2018, at Family Hospice, Canterbury, in Lawrenceville.  Born November 18th, 1931, in Braddock, he was the son of John and Elizabeth (Yurko) Ragan and the husband of Pauline (Kott) Ragan.

Richard retired as a project manager from Davy Corporation. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army and belonged to White Oak American Legion, Post #701. Richard attended Resurrection Church in West Mifflin. He enjoyed sports, especially watching pro and college football, and was an avid Steeler fan. Richard took an active role in his family's young lives; he coached little league baseball and attended all of his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting and school events.
In addition to his beloved wife, survivors include son, Richard R., Jr. (Cindy), of North Huntingdon, and their children, Christopher and Alina; daughter, Darlene (James Jr.) Green, of Canton, OH, and their children, James III (Vanessa) and their son Cole, Daniel and Jennifer; son, David (Melissa), of Penn Hills; daughter, Denise (Anthony, Jr.) DelleFemine, of North Huntingdon, and their children, Dana, Rachel and Anthony III; many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by siblings, Gertrude, Betty, Mildred Macara, Regis and Thomas.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home on Sunday, July 22, from 12-4 p.m. Father John A. Moineau will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 9:30 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in North Huntingdon. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in North Versailles.
