Cynthia J. "Cindy" Venturini, age 57, of Mt. Washington, died August 8, 2018, at UPMC Presbyterian. Born July 14, 1961, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Geno and Ellamae (Garrett) Venturini and the wife of the living James D. Sopata.

She was currently working at Detroit Switch Inc., where she was an assembler. Cindy dedicated her life to caring for her family. She loved animals, especially horses and dogs. She also collected angels and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing along. Her family always came first. In addition to James, she is survived by her daughter, Ashley Sopata of Mt. Washington; step-daughter, Debbie; granddaughter, Autumn; sisters, Janice Burriss of CA, Joyce Dreer (Dave) Stockett of Coulter and Patti Riley of Elizabeth; brothers-in-law, Charles Evans and Ronald Sopata; many nieces and nephews; also best friends, Claire, Debbie and Melony. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Evans. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, August 11, 2018, from 11 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Rudy Mayak will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.
