Carolyn S. Twale, 76, of Greenock, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 10, 1942 in Versailles Boro and was the daughter of the late John W. and Elizabeth Radar Bales. She was a member of Boston United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Choir and Ladies Group there. Carolyn was a lifetime member of the Greenock Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 57 years,  Blair William Twale, son, Paul (Tina) Twale and daughter, Sherri (Arden) McAlpine of Greenock, grandchildren, Brandon, Ashlyn, and Faith Twale, and Mark, Eric, and Scott McAlpine, brothers, John (Dolores) Bales of North Huntingdon and Charles (Gayle) Bales of Versailles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Bales and sisters, Catherine Alvarez and Jane Bales. Friends are welcome Friday, October 5, 2018  from  2-4 and 6-8pm  at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director.  Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am,  with The Rev. Jack Piper, officiating.  Private inurnment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Greenock.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Foundation at 1-225-292-2031.
