Lawrence (Larry) M. Rickard Jr., 58, of Herminie, PA passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Excela Health Westmoreland. He was born June 11, 1957 in McKees Rocks, PA, son of the late Lawrence "Tex" and Dolores M. Bakey Rickard. Larry formerly worked as a dispatcher for Universal Truckload and was active in many Masonic organizations. He was a member and Past Master of Jeannette Mason Lodge #750, Past Presiding Officer of Urania Royal Arch Chapter #192, Olivet Council #13, and Kedron Commandery #18. He was also a member of Golden Triangle York Rite College, Knight of York Cross of Honor, and the Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests. He was a volunteer fireman for Station 15 Herminie, a member of Westmoreland County Mohawks, where he served as past big chief, president of Westmoreland County Firemen's Association. He enjoyed antiquing and car shows, always looked forward to his annual visit at Little Beaver Camp in Lycoming County, and visits out east with Shop Bob. He is survived by his wife, Bonny Karfelt Rickard; son, Mike Stewart and his wife, Dawn; sister-in-law, Margaret Corn; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and special pet, Cody. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA, on Sunday from 1-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Long Run Cemetery.
