Donald Waszczak, age 86, of North Versailles, died October 5, 2018, at UPMC Shadyside. Born July 8, 1932, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Caroline (Englot) Waszczak and the husband of the late Helen (Anischenko) Waszczak.

Donald Waszczak, age 86, of North Versailles, died October 5, 2018, at UPMC Shadyside. Born July 8, 1932, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Caroline (Englot) Waszczak and the husband of the late Helen (Anischenko) Waszczak. Donald was retired from US Steel McKeesport Works, where he worked in the electrical department. He was a member of the Amplify Church Pittsburgh East Campus, where he was an usher. Donald was a US Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed walking, running, lifting weights and a good book. He was also an avid stamp collector and Pittsburgh sports fan. Donald loved weekend trips to Ligonier and walking through the beautiful mountain terrain. He was passionate about many things, but most of all his faith and family. Donald is survived by his daughter, Karen Leah Waszczak of North Versailles; sister, Adella Kitchen of Greenock; 4 furry friends, Isaiah, Buster, Rusty and Electra; also many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Donald was also preceded in death by siblings, Laura, Josephine, Joseph, John, Edward, Charles, Stanley and Leo; and furry friend, Lila. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from Noon to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel.
