Joann H. (Hans) Pirl, age 85, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. She was born July 19, 1930 in Weirton, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Troy) Hans. She was a retired registered nurse and was a long time member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Versailles.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Fred A. Pirl; brother Wilbert Hans; and sister Edith McMurdy. She is survived by her children Sandra (Thomas) Lehner of North Huntingdon, Karen (Ronald) Bzdiak of North Huntingdon and Gary (Michele) Pirl of Kittanning; grandchildren Matthew (Cara) Lehner, Christopher (fiancée Amanda Greenburg) Lehner, Mark (Kiersten) Lehner and Lauren Crytzer; and great grandchildren Jordan, Hannah, Liam and Lela Lehner. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Versailles with Pastor Richard Krug officiating.
