Frank Nicholas Dippolito, 88, of Port Vue, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at home surrounded by family. He was born October 29, 1929 in Sutersville and was the son of the late Simon and Angelina Merlino Dippolito. Frank worked as a warehouse manager in shipping and receiving at Bettis Laboratory for 42 years and was a member of The Port Vue American Legion. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean War and for his service he was awarded The Army Occupation of Japan Medal and The Korean Service medal. He was also a member of the original Jack Ham Fan Club, "Dobre Shunka" in Port Vue.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Clayton Dippolito, 3 daughters, Karen Johnston of Irwin, Mary D'Angelo of Allison Park, and Carol (Shawn) Lundy of Mount Vernon, son, Robert Dippolito of Port Vue, 8 grandchildren, Aaron, Katie, Rob, Julia, Corey, Lisa, Megan and Morgan, 3 great-grandchildren, Gianna, Vivian and Riley, brother, Fiore (Marie) Dippolito of Warren, OH, sister, Mary (Jack) Manack of West Newton, as well as nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome on Thursday, October 25, from 1-3 and 5-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director. Funeral service with full military honors will be held in the funeral home chapel following visitation at 8:00 pm.
