Dorothy M. Strangis, age 84, of McKeesport, died October 31, 2018, John J. Kane Regional. Born March 5, 1934, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Stella (Korp) Tomko and the wife of the late Joseph Strangis, for over 50 years

Dorothy dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a member of the St. Mark Parish. Dorothy enjoyed plastic canvas crafting and loved all Pittsburgh sports. She is survived by her children, Marlyn (Michael) Baran of Gaithersburg, MD, James (Mary) Strangis of Port Vue and Beverly (Paul "Bud") Takacs of McKeesport; grandchildren, Michelle (Daniel) Smith, Michael Baran, Jennifer Takacs, Kimberly (Travis) Baker and Stephen Takacs; great granddaughter, June; brother, John "Sonny" (Rose) Tomko of Hickory, PA; also nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, November 5, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10 a.m., at St. Mark Parish of Liberty Borough. Fr. Thomas Wagner will be the celebrant. Committal will follow in Round Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600 Doylestown, PA 18901.
