Olindo Rozzi, age 88, of Avon Lake Ohio, formerly of McKeesport, died November 27, 2018, at O’Neill Health Care/Hospice of Bay Village Ohio.  Born May 30, 1930, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Paolo and Oneglia (Sgattoni) Rozzi and the husband of Valerie (Galka) Rozzi for over 55 years.

Olindo was a US Navy veteran, serving on the USS Block Island in Annapolis MD.  He began his career as a machinist at US Steel National Works in McKeesport and was the owner of the 25 Bar in Christy Park. He then was transferred to Lorain Works as a maintenance foreman.  Later he was promoted to general foreman at Baytown Texas Works.  He returned to Lorain Works as Superintendent of iron and steel production until his retirement.  In retirement he started VALIN Corp. a consulting firm that he ran for some 20 years.  He loved his work, always had projects going around the home and especially enjoyed landscaping in his yard. In addition to his wife Valerie, he is survived by his son, Paul (Diane) Rozzi of North Huntingdon; grandsons, Michael Rozzi of Los Angeles, CA and Jared Rozzi of Pittsburgh; brother Giovanni (Mary) Rozzi of CO; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by sisters Erminia Matwick and Pauline Puskaric.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home on Monday, December 3, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Fr. Matthew Elanjileth will be the celebrant.  Entombment will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum of North Versailles.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com
