Anita G. Jaffre, 91, of Irwin, passed away Tuesday April 12, 2016, at home. She was born February 17, 1925 in White Valley, a daughter of the late Ovido and Francesa (Degorio) Teodore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Jaffre, and siblings Gilsa Massari, Mary DiVirgilio, Sally Beltz, Pierina “Pearl” Hammond, Spina “Tina” Harris, Oliviero Teodore, Nunzio Teodore, Lilian “Lena” Wasko and Gelsonina Teodore.
She was a former employee of Jeanette Glass and a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, Hermine. Anita is survived by her son Robert A. Jaffre of Irwin, and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Edward Catholic Church. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
