Albert J. Vavra, age 71, of Duquesne, died November 21, 2018, from an accident on the McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge. Born January 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Theresa (Moran) Vavra.

Albert was a volunteer fireman with the Duquesne Annex, Station 133 from 1993 to 2005. He attended the former St. Joseph Church of Duquesne. Albert enjoyed hunting, model trains, a model of the city of Duquesne and his 1966 Chevy Malibu. He is survived by daughter, Sharyl of McKeesport; son, Jason of Liberty Borough; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Paul (Georgia) Vavra of Dravosburg; sisters, Barbara Jean Habjanetz of Hazelwood and Joann (Jerry) Wallace of McKeesport and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, James, Mary Jane Hess and Patty Bailey. Services were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
