Edward J. Werner, age 47, of McKeesport, formerly of Pittsburgh, died December 20, 2018, at home. Born March 10, 1971, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edward Karl and Gilberta Ann (Young) Werner and the husband of Danielle (Templeton) Werner.

Edward was an engineering consultant. He enjoyed reading, music and sports. His greatest joy was caring for his boys, whether it was coaching sports, sharing a life lesson or just spending time with them. Edward truly lived for his family. In addition to his wife Danielle, he is survived by sons, Alexzander Scalise, Zachary and Christian Werner, all of McKeesport; brothers, Jeff (Renee) and Bryan Werner, all of Pittsburgh; in laws, Geoffrey and Joann Templeton of McKeesport; brother-in-laws, Justin and Adam (Christie) Templeton, all of McKeesport; also a nephew and many nieces. He was preceded in death by son, Edward Alexander Werner. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, December 28, 2018, from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7:30 p.m. Fr. Michael Singer of St. John's Parish in Donara, will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to Edward's family.
