Richard B. Leeper, 88, of White Oak, died January 31, 2019 at Transitions Healthcare of North Huntingdon.
Richard B. Leeper, 88, of White Oak, died January 31, 2019 at Transitions Healthcare of North Huntingdon. Born October 3, 1930, in Jeanette Pa. He was the son of the late Lloyd Albert and Pearl Imas (Murry) Leeper and the husband of the late Florence Marie Miskovish Leeper for over 65 years. Richard was the owner of R.B. Leeper and Son Asphalt Paving and the co-owner and operator of the Dairy Queen of White Oak. He was also a Greyhound bus driver for many years. After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and went to school for explosive loading supervisor. He was involved in various church activities. Richard loved to travel, road trips by car or motor home and especially cruises. In the winter he lived in Florida, where he enjoyed walks on the beach looking for sea shells and shark teeth. He also enjoyed playing board games with his friends and family. He is survived by his children, Greg (Dawn) of Elizabeth Twp., Darlene Sharon (Tim) Smith of White Oak, Brenda Marie (Mark) Applebee of Kittanning, PA and Shawn Keith (Lisa) of Grant, FL; grandchildren, Brenton Leeper, Lauren (Timothy) Keibler, Kayla Smith, Jordan Smith, Isaac Smith, Hannah Smith; great grandchildren, Declan Leeper, Ava Leeper, Colton Keibler and Ivan Keibler; also many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Joy Cemetery of Mt. Pleasant, PA. Memorial contributions are suggested to Applebee Interactive Ministries, P.O.box 333, Waldo, Fl 32694.
