Peter J. DiCecco, Sr., age 94, of Christy Park, died February 18, 2019. Born June 30, 1924, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John G. and Theresa (D'Eletto) DiCecco and the husband of Charlotte Tresa (Teti) DiCecco, for over 71 years.

Peter retired from Westinghouse, where he worked as a machinist and he was also the owner and operator of DI - WIN Distributing Co. He was a US Army Veteran, serving during WWII. Peter was a member of St. Patrick Church. He was also a member of the Palanese Club, 11th Ward Welfare Association, American Legion, Post 701 and the Christy Park Seniors. He enjoyed caring for his family cabin in Pymatuning, PA, although his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Peter is survived by children, Rose (Keith) McLaughlin of Port Vue; son-in-law, Fred (Theresa) Stipkovits of Elizabeth and Peter J. (Iva) DiCecco of McKeesport; grandchildren, Fred (Sarah), Stephen, Jennifer (Chad), Peter John and Brian (Angelina); great grandchildren, Mia, Brian Jr. and Louis; sister-in-law, Derna DiCecco; also many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Carol Stipkovits; brothers, Anthony (Yolanda) and Mario. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, February 21, 2019, from 2 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 10 a.m., at St. Patrick Church.
