Marjorie (Gorzo) Katich, age 87, of White Oak, died March 30, 2019, at Woodhaven Care Center. Born May 13, 1931, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Ann (Gothard) Gorzo and the wife of the late Stephen "Steve" Katich, for over 68 years.
Marjorie dedicated her life to caring for her family. She worked at Mann's Drug Store and owned and operated Marjorie's Fine Jewelry. She and her husband built a home in Deep Creek, MD, which they enjoyed entertaining at for many years. She had an open door policy where everyone was always welcome. Marjorie enjoyed flea markets, bingo and trips to the casino. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Chrisandra (Harry) Kelly of Lawrence, PA, Susan (Greg) Lohr of Dandridge, TN, Stephen "Skip" (Lori Jo) Katich of White Oak and Robert (Lori Jean) Katich of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Matthew (Nicole) Katich, Dom Kasony and Lisa Foscoe; great grandchildren, Brittany, Richard and Tiffany; brother, Nicholas (Joyce) Gorzo of White Oak; also many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jeannine Palko.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, from 4 p.m. until the time of blessing service at 8 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment will take place in New St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations made be made to
