Alexandria J. "Alice" Rybar, age 88 of McKeesport, died on April 24, 2019, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born July 24, 1930, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Catherine V. (Gliwa) Michalek and the wife of the late John A. Rybar.
Alice dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church, Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Ladies Guild, Catholic Daughters and the Rosary Society. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Alice is survived by her children, Gregory J. (Karen) Rybar of White Oak, Vicki L. (Kevin) Gaska of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Jennifer (Bobby) Dailey, Jessica Matthews, Amy (Rob) Bauer, Amber (Paul) Bugajski, Autumn (Cody) Stark, Heather (Josh) Dillon, Nicole Rybar; great grandchildren, Emma, Noah, Emily, Abigail and Liam; sister, Laura Adamek of Elizabeth, Helen (Stanley) Kielnar of McKeesport, Kathleen Glanz of Essex Junction, VT; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Michalek of Pleasant Hills; also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Robert A. Rybar; brothers, Robert J. and Edward (Jeannie) Michalek; brothers-in-law, Mickey Adamek and Les Glanz.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, April 26, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 12 p.m., at Corpus Christi Church. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Mary's Polish Cemetery.
