Salvatore Thomas Orlando, 82, of McKeesport, passed away, Sunday April 28, 2019.  He was born January 21, 1937 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Antonio  and Rosina (D'Acquisto) Orlando. He was a 1955 graduate of McKeesport High School, an Army National Guard Veteran and a member of the former St. Pius Church in McKeesport.  He was retired from the Volkswagen USA plant where he worked in assembly and trim work.  He also owned the former Paisono's Restaurant in McKeesport and former Orlando's Italian Grill in Castle Shannon. In his later years, he would go on to work for LifeSpan where he would deliver meals to the elderly. He loved playing golf and basketball, shooting pool and watching sports, especially horse racing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Louise (Gabriel) Orlando, son, Anthony James Orlando of White Oak, daughters, MiMi (Lee) Kaminsky of McKeesport and Gina Marie (Paul) Watson of White Oak, sisters, Catherine (Dennis) Marshall of Pittsburgh, and Lucretia (Dr. James) Zangrilli of Naples, Fl, 3 grandsons, Nathan James and Kevin Anthony Kaminsky and Orlando Gabriel Watson, special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Lynne Gabriel of Arizona, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas "Tony" Orlando. There is no visitation.
