Frank "Frankie" Truesdale, 71, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, departed earthly life on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in UPMC McKeesport Hospital.He was born December 2, 1947, in McKeesport, PA, son of the late William Frank and Mattie R. Barber Truesdale. He was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Truesdale,
Frankie was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, a graduate of the McKeesport Area High School, and a graduate of Triangle Tech, where he earned an Associate degree; He also proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. Frankie had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed traveling and gardening--both vegetables and flowers, worked as a jitney driver, and also served as an Advocate for Narcotic Anonymous at the Harrison Village Recreation Center. Frank worked as a Laundry Supervisor for VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System Highland Drive.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Leslie C. Truesdale of McKeesport; daughter, Sharese N. Truesdale; granddaughters, Raven, Ryan, and Rayn; great-granddaughter, Ariah Armstrong; siblings, Danny (Ellie) Luckett of Kansas City, KS, Williams G. (Nicole) Truesdale of Newberry, SC, Cathy (Anthony) Truesdale Davis of Penn Hills, Rev. Esther (James) Washington of Pittsburgh, Jacquelyn (John) Burke of Cypress,TX; Step Mother Ollie Truesdale of Penn Hills; Goddaughter, Gabrielle Rodgers, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loving friends.
Friends will be received Wednesday, May 15, 2019, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Bethlehem Baptist Church, 716 Walnut Street, McKeesport, Pennsylvania, where services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at 10:00 am with Rev. Earlene Coleman officiating.
Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 2:30 p.m.
