Helen B. Kristan, age 95, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at UPMC Passavant, Pittsburgh. She was born January 19, 1921 in Clairton, PA, a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Drwiega Malacki.

 Helen was a member of St. Agnes Parish, North Huntingdon, Christian Mothers, volunteered her time at the church and sang in the choir. She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, dancing, traveling and visiting relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 2003. She is survived by her two sons, Dr. William Kristan and his wife, Judy, Robert Kristan and his wife, Janet; daughters Kathy Gray, and Cheryl Loutsenhizer and her husband, Robert; grandchildren, Erika Gray, Jennifer Sassaman and her husband, Mark, Bill Kristan and his girlfriend, Kelsey Blumenthol, Jeff Kristan and his wife, Erica, Joshua Loutsenhizer and his wife, Nicole, Lindsey Loutsenhizer, Karissa Kristan, Alexa Kristan; great-grandchildren, Luke, Emily, Claire, Sarianna, Amelia; brother, Frank Malacki; sisters, Gina Sydeski and Hazel Fasekas. Friends will be received on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Church. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Irwin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Helen.
