John C. "Jack" Ryan

John C. "Jack" Ryan, 90, of North Versailles formerly of Elizabeth Twp, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019. He was born November 8, 1928 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John A. and Mildred (Monath) Ryan. He was the husband of the late Thelma Fay (Van Kirk) Ryan who passed away in 1976. John was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and worked in financial services for many years. He was very proud of three things he got to do in life, owning a Model T and being part of the Model T Club in Dallas, taking flying lessons and flying out of Rostraver Airport, and his vast Civil War Membrobillia Collection.

He is survived by his son, David W. (Alison) Ryan of Liberty Boro, and sister, Barbara (Paul) DiFabio of Boston. He is also survived by step-daughter, Denise Mascaro, Step-son, Robert Jones and his beloved granddaughter, Kaitlyn Jones of McKinney, Texas. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Schaffer and Joanne Tellman. In keeping with John's wishes, there is no visitation. Funeral service with Military Honors will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
