John A. Haraburda, age 91, of Lady Lake, Florida, formerly of North Versailles, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016. He was born August 30, 1924 in Braddock, a son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Cesnak) Haraburda. He was a World War II Army veteran and worked as a manufacturing engineer for over 42 years for Westinghouse. He was a Long time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Versailles and a member of the masonic lodge #375 in White Oak for over 50 years.
He was a lifetime member of the Sportsman’s Association in White Oak, the American Legion #347 in Lady Lake, Florida and the Westinghouse Foreman’s Association. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Mary; and brothers Joseph and Frank. He is survived by his wife of over 68 years Dorothy (Schano) Haraburda; children Patricia (George) Stark, Jeanne (James) Curran, Barbara (Gerald) Klein, John (Mary Ann) Haraburda and William Haraburda and fiancée Shirley Nicoletti Miller; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and brother Michael Haraburda. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 715 Lincoln Hwy, North Versailles with Pastor Richard Krug officiating.
